Hello and welcome to episode 242 of Avtoc. I am Ian Petchenik here as always with Jason Urbinoitz and Ian we've got a lot of stuff to talk about this week.

headquarters to I think we're touching every continent this week. We're touching all seven continents

of week on the podcast and I think we need to begin right in your backyard and check in with the Boston Center air traffic controllers.

And I'm referring to an incident that happened earlier this week when a Air Atlanta

Icelandic flight had an unruly passenger on board and I want to play you a little bit of the air traffic control audio

Atlanta 4592 guys. I guess sir we are a cargo plane we have live animal horse on board the airplane and the horse managed to escape is stall

we don't have a problem as of flying wife, but we need to return back to New York. We cannot get the horse back secure.

Jason? Yes. That's not the usual radio call that you get.

No, no, that's quite the unruly passenger.

I mean, usually when we see these unruly passengers they're subdued or improperly duct taped to a seat or they fall asleep like on my recent spirit flight.

This is a little difference. Quite an interesting story.

I'm sure something like this has probably happened before.

But my takeaway here is the communication back and forth

between ATC and the pilots was pretty fantastic, I'd say.

I mean, it was the thing that gets me about all of these incidents and the thing that I'm always called

back to.

And we'll touch a little bit more on the professionalism of air traffic controllers a little bit later in the show.

But the professionalism and the complete nonchalance of the pilots and the air traffic controllers.
