airspace changes, and how the Russian invasion of Ukraine has affected the aviation industry around the world.

Oh man, Ian, where do we begin?

Let's take it from the top.

I think we begin with an apology to our listeners for how poorly last week's episode

aged.

It was barely off to the editors before the first five minutes and our discussion of what was happening in Ukraine was completely mooted by the invasion of Ukraine.

Our listeners expect that though, so we had them on their own. Yeah,

regular listeners will know that large world events generally occur just

after we finished recording. So today is the second of March, Wednesday.

If you're listening to this podcast, hopefully you're listening to it earlier this week. We're not going to wait

until Friday morning as soon as we get it back from the editors, whatever time that is, it's going out, so hopefully you're

listening to this before Friday, and things will be a bit fresh.

Last Wednesday, we recorded the episode and sent it off, and then the Russian military invaded Ukraine.

Before that or kind of concurrently the first inklings of something happening

the airports in eastern Ukraine began to Notam closed.

The first was Khakif in far eastern Ukraine, which is Ukraine's second largest city, and that was the first airport

to close.
