And I did a bachelor's of political science

at Swarthmore College and got a master's degree

at the Goldman School of Public Policy at UC Berkeley.

And I was a researcher and graduate student instructor

for former U.S. Labor Secretary Robert Reich.

And then I found that I love teaching.

And so I wanted to do a PhD.

And there's this legendary political economy

department in Sydney, Australia.

That combines moral philosophy, political science,

and economics always one discipline.

It's one of the few political economy departments

in the world that still does it in the old fashioned way.
