Avanti West Coast, feel good travel.

Hi, I'm Matt Vylander, and you are listening to the tennis podcast.

Well, hello, and welcome to the tennis podcast and the second installment of our Australian Open Extra series here in Melbourne Park.

0:53.0

We've had the second round, or we're just about to, it's the night session as we speak to you here inside the Rod Leyvar Arena.

Laura Robson is currently on court against Patrick Avitiver, two games all in the first set, and we've just ducked out to come and have a little chat and talk to you ahead of the third round, which is coming up tomorrow.

1:11.0

What do we think is going to happen in this match, Catherine?

1:13.0

We were saying Laura Robson was going to win, weren't we? Well, it's two games all in the first set.

1:17.0

What have you thought? You've been sitting out there having a little watch with your parents and getting a feel for it, so what's going to happen?

1:24.0

Well, in the first game, all my predictions are going out of the window, because Laura Robson served two double-faults, one backhand error and one hideous volley error to lose the game to love, and I thought, oh, dear.

But then I remember that it's not Laura Robson two years ago, it's Laura Robson with a bit more experience of the big stage. She broke immediately back, and she's, I mean, I'm not saying she's not, you know, definitely going to win this, but she is toe-to-toe with a formal Wimbledon champion.

1:53.0

So a close, exciting match, I think, is the least that we can expect.

1:59.0

Yes, and not going out on a limb, Catherine there. Let's remember, she said that Laura Robson would win yesterday, so let's not try and get her out of it now.

2:06.0

I should say you're all lucky, podcast listeners, because you know what happened. You're listening in hindsight, and so if we've got this wrong, you're all laughing, aren't you?

2:14.0

We should record two versions of this podcast, didn't we?

2:17.0

Yeah, we should really, yeah, absolutely. It's not a bad idea. In fact, why don't we just cancel this one?

2:22.0

But let's have a little look forward to what's coming, and review what's happened the last couple of days, because we've had some matches haven't we?

2:29.0

On a British angle, that match that Heather Watson played. She was six three down in the second set tie break. I was commentating on that, and for BBC Radio 5 Live Sports Extra, do listen to us, by the way. It's good fun.

2:42.0

It's not just me. There's lots of other people like Mark Woodford and Jonathan Overland, and all sorts of great broadcasters.

2:48.0

And we were talking about that, and the thought that Heather Watson could have won that match from six three down in the second set tie break.
