What's up, Laker fans? Welcome to the Laker Film Room podcast. I'm Pete, joined by Darius.

And as we continue our conversation about the Lakers offense D. yesterday we got into some specifics

about blitzes and the Nets game and all of that. But today I want to start

out talking Austin Reeves. He has struggled since returning from injury, but we've also gotten

a broader sample in which he hasn't struggled the whole time alongside Luca Donchich.

And after the trade, Austin, we suspected, would be one of the more impacted players in terms of role.

He had just been a newly minted point guard for the Lakers over the course of this season,

and you trade for Luca Donchich, obviously what you do in the number of touches and volume

and just the nature of your game is going to change a little bit.

So we've gotten to see a little bit of that, both good and bad. Also, D, they're both 26 years old. I think if the Lakers had their druthers,

those two guys would be playing together for a long time. So with LeBron out, I think that this

is an opportunity to get reps that apply to both short term and long term figuring out how can these

two guys play together best. But I want to start just focusing on Austin's games. Struggling a bit

right now, what are you seeing? Yeah, it's weird the way that he's struggling, honestly.
