This is Felger.

I think I'd rather take a bullet in the head. I'd rather stick needles in my eyes. I can't disagree with that. Felger and Mass. 985. The Sports Hub. Your chief takeaway from the Ezekiel Elliott situation. Oh, it's nasty. It's like, it's really bad and it's getting nasty. The Elliott side is, it's basically coming down to, you know, she's a liar. And it's just gross when this happens.

0:23.5

This is why a lot of victims... It's getting nasty. The Elliott side is it's basically coming down to, you know, she's a liar.

0:21.8

And it's just gross when this happens. This is why a lot of victims don't come forward. And I think it's just been muddled the whole way through. And, I mean, there's that part of it. So it's important to just get that out before it becomes a stupid sports argument, that there's obviously a level of gravity to it. But then, you know, you go through how the NFL approached it, where their whole point, after completely botching Ray Rice and trying to cover that up and put a rug over it, was to be more transparent, to promise to get it right. This has been the most secretive process for more than a year. It took 13 months. It's insane. We don't know anything. They're not showing us the documentation,

the proof. And part of that might be the privacy of the victim, but based on what's already

0:59.9

been thrown out, I don't think that's an equation. So it's just been, it's just been poorly managed

1:05.2

from start to finish. And I saw a lot of people say when the suspension came out, like the NFL is

1:10.2

finally taking a tough stance against domestic violence. And I just think you are such a fool if you believe that a multi-billion dollar corporation suddenly developed morality when they didn't have to. It didn't affect their bottom line. That this is all about PR. That's what the league is doing. And that's why I think it's going to be interesting to see what goes forward. Does Goddell fight this the way he fought the stupid deflated football? Does he make himself the arbitrator? Does he push it to almost the Supreme Court level? And if he doesn't, and it gets cut just like Greg Hardy does and he doesn't fight, then he is satisfied with saying, well, I came down hard and, you know, an arbitrator made a different decision, and it's two games now. He'll be totally fine with that, and that's what the league is. But you know what gets suspensions cut. It happens every time. You're going to the office and you kiss his ass. Well, he's been, he's cooperated the whole time. I don't think he's caused any issues for them. That's phase one. Yeah. Phase two is coming in, and Ray Rice came in with his wife, and they admitted to it, and all of that, right?

2:04.5

It's like a parade. don't think he's caused any issues for them. That's phase one. Yeah. Phase two is coming in and, you know, Ray Rice came in with his wife and they admitted to it and all of that, right?

2:04.4

It's like a parole hearing. So, but it's not even. It's Godell wants you to get on your knees and kiss his ass. Admit to the wrongdoing. And subjugate yourself and then he'll cut the suspension. And the frightening part of it, I mean, Godel wasn't at the disciplinary hearing.

2:16.9

Godel, it still comes down to whether or not Godel believes you, whether or not his initial impression is that you are credible or not. It was the same thing with Ray Rice. He came and said, no, Ray's a good guy. He's with his wife now. Everything's okay. Let's just, you know, cover this up with other people, with Brady and with Elliot, he just says, I don't believe them. them and it's just that's not a way to run things that is the most arbitrary way to run a

2:37.6

multi-billion dollar league where there is a not a strong union but a union that is

2:42.2

you know pretty well backed financially and with resources that it's it's just

2:46.1

creating more problems for the league I mean he has the power to do it that way though

2:49.6

he has the power to look at it and say you know people like Hurley and the Patri, he has the power to do it that way, though. He has the power to look at it and say...

2:52.0

Thanks to people like Hurley and the Patriots, he has his power.

2:54.4

Right.

2:54.6

The evidence...

2:55.2

I didn't get my vote in on that, actually. So the evidence is gray. You could probably interpret it one way or another, but you know what? At the end of the day, I don't find the player credible. I believe the victim, and so I'm going to stick it to him.

3:04.2

And the Brady case strengthened him, because you decided to fight him almost to the Supreme Court, and he won.

3:08.2

Well, and another thing to think about is, you know, the league might not want this case to take that same path to end up at a federal appeals court. Because this is something that courts might actually have more of an appetite to discuss where it's domestic violence. Good luck. As opposed to Aaron's footballs and Jimmy Hot Fingers

3:25.3

dinkin around with the footballs. I think that was such a preposterous case to land before. Real judges who have dedicated their lives to the law. So Judge Berman wasn't a real judge? He was. I'm saying it was preposterous that that stupid case had to get in front of real judges. Like what a waste of everyone's time. whereas a multi-billion dollar corporation
