Let me start by saying how thrilled I am to be here on mistrial,

I am feeling a mix of gratification and relief that the trial has concluded as it has with a conviction on 34 felony counts of

falsifying documents to interfere with the 2016 presidential election.

The gratification comes from the overwhelming evidence that Donald Trump did engage in that election interference and covering

it up, it would have been a terrible miscarriage of justice if he were not held accountable.

And I think that that verdict is so important for accountability for Donald Trump, for deterrence,

for him and others doing the same thing with Trump having repeated that election interference in 2020.
