Of course, there were two big news stories on Friday afternoon or Friday morning from the Supreme Court.

One, they decided that the Justice Department overstepped in adding on obstruction charges to nearly 350 January 6th participants.

In a move that could also implicate Donald Trump as well. He was charged with obstruction, though,

through different means. That's a big deal and maybe could portend good things ahead, or at least

better things ahead, for hundreds of J-Sixers. The Supreme Court also nixed Chevron deference.

Essentially what Chevron deference is. It's a doctrine, at least in name only, from the 1980s, that told the court system in the United States, at least at the federal level, that they had to defer to alphabet agencies as subject matter experts when discussing policy that those agencies, whether it's the EPA or other agencies, the policies that they describe, prescript,

and enact. So that's something that conservative legal beagles my entire life have been trying

to get rid of Chevron deference. That is now nixed thanks to the Supreme Court. But folks,

we are living in a different world than we were about 72 hours or so ago.

A different world doesn't always mean a more consequential world, but it is different nonetheless.

The fall over Donald Trump and Joe Biden's debate, with the latter's performance being the

most talked about, has been felt palpably, at least from my vantage point.

I'm seeing all across the political spectrum, even amongst the sports community, even amongst

many followers that I follow for a variety of other reasons other than politics, they have

actually chimed in on Joe Biden's debate performance, and it's been nearly universally

negative. That is different than it was 4872 or even four, five, six days ago. That is different.

I don't know if it'll be consequential, but I'll talk about that more in air analysis.

First of all, this is Joe Biden during his appearance in North Carolina on Friday afternoon,

attempting to assuage worried Democrats over his performance and cognitive decline.
