Today on the amateur traveler. Traveler. This week's story I do have three news stories for you.

The first news story is about a new book that's out and I haven't read the book but I love the idea of it.

It's a book called Dear American Airlines and the entire book which is a fictional novel is written

from the point of view of a complaint letter to American Airlines. I just like the idea

that in all of the bad news for air travel over the last year at least someone got a novel

out of it. The second story I have for you is good news if you're traveling

especially to some place where you can't drink the water and you might pick up

something that would give you

what we commonly known as Montezuma's Revenge or DeliBelly. Researchers have

found that a patch that is impregnated with toxins produced by the E. coli bacteria can have a 75%

effectiveness against diarrhea attacks caused by E. coli.

At least that is among volunteers. And where they

found volunteers I do not know. Also patchwears who did fall ill recovered more

quickly. Now they did comment that only 40% of diarrhea causes were caused by E. coli, but for those

40%, it looks like this would be a big help.

The third news story is an odd one.
