0:17.7	This is AskCV number six, and it's a very special 40th birthday edition of the show and i'm honored that you decided to spend a little bit of your day here with me on my very special day you know it's funny one of my memories growing up was my dad's 40th birthday. I was eight years old.
0:39.0	We threw a surprise 40th birthday party for him.
0:41.7	And all of his friends, all of our family were there.
0:45.5	And I remember they had this cake for him.
0:48.2	And the cake was in the shape of a hill.
0:50.4	And there was this little figurine on it.

1:03.0	how old he was. I remember he had this shirt, this light, like powder blue shirt that he would
1:07.8	wear for years. And it said, 40 isn't old if you're a tree.
1:11.8	And I remember like looking at that and thinking like, my dad's not old.
1:15.5	Like what's with all these jokes about 40 years old being old?
1:19.2	Even though I was eight, I was like very aware that my dad at 40 didn't feel old, especially
1:24.4	when my grandparents at that time were like well into their 60s.
