hi guys we've been overseas since 2012 and we're just looking to return to the UK.

Married with two kids, young children and our dilemma is we don't really have enough money to buy where we want to live, but we have

220K.

So the idea is, could we or do you recommend rent where we live, but then invest in

property with the money that we have.

Obviously if we rent where we live, we'll have no real surplus funds for mortgage repayments.

But then we would have, if we used all that money for an investment property we could then get some rental income.

Just wondering what your thoughts are on this and if it's sensible, of course, you know, the other side of the coin is, you know, people say they always have said, rent money is dead money.

But then I always think having a huge mortgage also locks you down and it makes life difficult.
