very sad news about the death of Peter McNamara at the age of 64.

Catherine and I will pay tribute to improperly next week,

because we both got to know him well over the years.

But just in short, I wanted to touch on the fact that Peter was best known for his doubles partnership

with compatriot Paul McNamy.

They won two Wimbledon titles together in 1980 and 1982,

and Australian Open title in 1979,

and Peter also reached number seven in the world as a singles player.
