and everything else that comes along with being an Asian American.

Today we are joined by my friend Jenny Yang, the actor, writer, comedian, and roused

about, according to a delightful internet video in which she interviews the quote-unquote

Asian Magic Mike.

Jenny is currently a writer for HBO Max's Gurdita Chronicles, about a Dominican family

that moves to Miami in the 80s.

Last year, Jenny launched Comedy Crossing, a hit stand-up comedy show held inside the

adorable world of the Animal Crossing video game.

Since June of 2020, the show has raised nearly $40,000 for Black Lives Matter and other

mutual-lade causes.

You can find Jenny on the internet, talking about important issues like representation, voting

rights, allyship, anti-Asian hate, and Asian American excellence.

I really hope that we continue to not give a fuck and just demand our space.

You know what I mean?

We need to stop self-sensoring, stop asking for permission, give ourselves the permission

to pitch the stories we want to see, make the things we want to make, and to accept

nothing less.
