Welcome back to Gapping with Gib. I'm your host Gips and Johns. And today on the show, we have an

interview with Real Housewives of Potomac, OG, Ashley Darby. But before we get to our chat, let's talk about

that finale and the reunion trailer. I loved the finale and the episode before that, as I mentioned,

I think last week. I really love this last minute tiff between Stacey and Karen over Mia.

It's kind of just like what the doctor ordered for this

season. Obviously, it came a little later than we might have liked, but we finally have

interpersonal drama on this season. And it feels like we haven't had in a while other than like

stuff relating directly to Mia. This is over Mia, but it's really more about

Stacey and Karen and Wendy. I love that it's bringing up off-camera conversations. It's like,

it doesn't break the fourth wall, but it sort of toes that line a little bit because it's about

Karen sort of setting Stacey up before the show started filming and it's kind of giving like

they create alliances and things like

that and I just find that stuff really layered and interesting. I also love it because it shows

that Stacey is adapting and she's understanding what this whole thing involves and what it demands

of you. With this whole thing in the last two episodes, it just feels like she's sort of been

simmering on this and waiting for her right moment. I think she chose a great moment. I love that sit down with her and her friend AJ. I love that she has a T.J. and an AJ. But AJ, okay, needing way more of him. I wish we'd gotten way more of him. He is an icon. We need to fly him in many times next season. He is a truth teller. He is a long good friend of Stacey's, and he is one of those friends who will give you the hard truths, and everybody needs somebody like that, and he just seems like that person for Stacey that she needs to sort of see the light with T.J. He was like, when he found out that he was an actor, he was like, oh, no, ma'am. when he was like, this is like, Get Out or Stepford Wives or some shit.
