host Thomas Smith and this week I'm rolling out a couple of changes or hopefully a couple we'll see how many I have time for but I'm trying to modify the show make it better make it more fun to listen to more interesting and it's going to be a a constant effort so it's not going to

happen all at once but I'm going to try to get it there with the very limited time

I have this week's episode, both episodes actually, I have a great guest, Tracy Moody. She's a

obviously female atheist who tried to put it together a female atheism group in Tennessee where she lives and the story of sort of her struggle and her journey in that is a very interesting one. I find it very interesting and she shares that later on in the show.

Before that though, one of the things I want to do is to have a new little segment.

I've said before that this isn't going to be a news show.

I've also said, however, that I'm going to occasionally react to news if there's something atheism related sort of in the mainstream.

And what I decided though was I kind of like the idea of doing a regular segment

something that you can count on each week.

Sort of, go ahead and accuse me of ripping off Noah's diatribe from scathing atheist.

I don't think it's a rip off of that. I think a lot of people do something like that.

And I've, of course, nowhere near the kind of writer that Noah is. So mine's definitely a different style different style but but in all honesty. It's sort of that same idea, but it's just going to be a reaction to something

going on currently or something I've read or whatever it might be in that particular week.

So with that being said, let's go to the inaugural weekly commentary.

So the topmost headline in Google News, as of my recording this is the words in heaven together.

Naturally as an atheist I can't help but dive into this and what I find is an incredibly awfully heartbreaking story on NBCNews.com of two newlyweds

who died in a car accident along with eight others which actually happened to occur very close to where I live.

If you frequent news websites, you've seen the story, I'm sure it was a horrific accident, very sad.
