This week on the podcast, we move on to lesson 14 of the course, which is all about verbs.

Today we'll focus on our first three verbs, all of which are AR verbs in the woods.

Let's begin in the highly populated area at the south end of the woods, and we'll go to the water slide just beyond

enter and pensar to get started. Here we previously learned the words

audar, yamar, jaegar, and hugar. Remember that these words tend to be followed by the preposition

A. There's one new shop here now that the Tsar runs. Basically, he runs a back paddling business

where he tries to have people row in boats upstream to go up this water slide.

That's extremely difficult, as you might imagine, back paddling upstream, up basically a waterfall,

but that's what the Tsar tries to have people do.

Now, the word here is regressar.

So if you remember the Tsar, trying to get people to row backwards,

regressar means to go back.

It's very similar to the word volver in meaning,

because volver means to return. But regressar more emphasizes the idea of

going back to ground you've previously been on, whereas volver tends to emphasize something like

doing something over again. Regressar can also refer to returning something to someone.

So, for example, you can return someone's things to them.
