Synopsis: Robbie Martin continues the Media Roots Radio original series, the Freemasonic History of the United States with the golden age of fraternalism and how it was also the golden age of now famous Freemason, Albert Pike. During the post civil war 1870s Pike completed some of his most important works, his re-written Scottish Rite 4th-32nd degree rituals known as his Magnum Opus, his most famous book, Morals & Dogma and his most in-depth work, Indo Aryan Deities And Worship, As Contained In The Rig Veda. But was Albert Pike also a foundational member and 'chief operation officer' of the Ku Klux Klan during their reign of terror simultaneously with his most productive writing and research period? Was Albert Pike fascinated by the Rig Veda because of his 'Aryan heritage' or was it because it may have held clues to the real secret to Freemasonry itself, a mysterious hallucinogenic intoxicant? Robbie takes us through all these questions and more on Aryan Deities, the Liberty Cap & the Cubicle Ashlar to Infinity, the Freemasonic History of the United States Part 6.

And even if Albert Pike plagiarize all these things and maybe even didn't deserve to make

0:49.5

any money off of them because he plagiarized apparently a great deal of this book. Even still, what he did

0:58.3

was he reinvigorated masonry with sort of a new philosophy. What he was trying to say in magnum

1:04.1

opus is that masonry had lost its way. And he wasn't just trying to revise the rituals to bring

1:10.6

it back to its sort of more primitive

1:12.3

essential form true masonry if you will he also felt the need to inject it with new philosophy

1:20.2

and to give it a true universality enriched by the knowledge of all these world religions

1:27.3

and in that sense i think that he succeeded enriched by the knowledge of all these world religions.

1:30.6

And in that sense, I think that he succeeded.

1:37.2

This established masonry as having a richer and deeper connection to ancient history as well,

1:40.7

without really even having to embellish or lie.

1:46.8

Even though Albert Mackey and Albert Pike still believed that there was some connection of the Masonic rituals to even ancient Egypt in some loose, in some loose, very loose sense,

1:53.2

we now know that that's completely false. But what Albert Pike did was he didn't try to

1:58.9

really claim that very much in the book.

2:01.4

I mean, he did sort of mention it a few times, but the main point was to connect the philosophical

2:08.3

and spiritual elements to this ancient spirituality and to do it in a really effective way

2:16.0

by really connecting it to some of these ancient religious
