50 years of coaching no longer exist in college athletics.

So it's always about developing players.

It was always about helping people

maybe more successful in life.

My wife even said to me, you know, like right before I retired and said,

why are we doing this?

And I said, what do you mean?

She said, all they care about is how much you're going to pay them.

They don't care about how you're going to develop them which is all what we've always done so why are we doing this?

So you know to me that was sort of a red alert that we really are creating a circumstance here that is not beneficial to the

development of young people.

Right, but then people talk about the equity, if you build multi-billion dollar business

and the people that are most

valuable the players are just getting an education they're getting books and maybe

a stipend is that fair regardless of what you think those days are done and

things have changed and I can't tell

you how many smart sports people come up to me not to do it necessarily for a living but

it's really good where's this heading where's it going why is what do you mean people

are leaving for money?

If you don't start a game or your team loses a bowl game,

or you're now leaving unless that coach can give you more money.
