Hey, girlfriends, how are you? How have you been? I hope you've had a good week. Thanks for being here for another episode of girlfriends. I'm glad that you're joining me here at the Phoenix Airport. It's early on Sunday morning and I am just now leaving a conference that I was at that I had the pleasure of speaking at.

It was sponsored by Paradisus Day.

It was called To the End of Love, and it was a marriage conference, so there were lots, hundreds of married couples that showed up for this, and it was an honor and it was a privilege to be able to speak to them about marriage, God's plan for marriage. I met so many great people.

So this was in Phoenix and I'm heading home now. I'm going to get home probably about 5 p.m. my time.

So just enough time to reconnect with the family before starting a new week so I thought since

I'm just sitting here anyway I might as well record this now because I'm going to find myself

running short on time tomorrow when I usually record so glad to do this I hope you're not hearing

too much background noise but I'm hearing announcements and crowds and whatnot going on here but but, you know, it's all just part of the ambiance of this particular episode of girlfriends.

So this week, we're talking about busyness.

Are you too busy?

I know a lot of times I know that I am.

And it's important to ask ourselves this question on a regular basis because it's something that can easily spiral out of control, the level of busyness in our lives.

Especially in today's culture, today's society with regard to families, a lot of families are busy.

A lot of families are too busy. A lot of

moms are wearing multiple hats just as a necessity. But I think it's important to take time every

once in a while and kind of reassess like, are you too busy? How can we know that? I mean,

how can we know if we're too busy? I hear from moms all the time that are looking for balance. That's that word that everybody's looking for is balance in their lives. They want the peace that comes from knowing they're living a balanced life. And, you know, I think that balance looks different for everybody. And it even looks different for individual people depending on

what stage in life you're in you know um the level of outside activity that my family could manage
