I'm Karen Hunter, and in this space I'm going to be this year doing a lot of reading

0:17.5

and therefore talking about books and authors and talking with authors. And I was talking with

0:24.2

one of my producers about, you know, this prospect of going online and reading two people and having

0:30.1

discussions around books and she was telling me about this book that she's reading. And I thought

0:33.3

it was very interesting. So I invited her on. Let me welcome back to Karen Hunter is awesome. Tramel, hello to you. Hey, Karen. So you would tell me about this book? Yes, the fourth wing. And I'm not exactly sure how to describe it. It is a fantasy novel. I think Game of Thrones. I think that's the, or House of Dragons. Yeah, House of Dragons.

1:40.8

18,000 reviews. And I'm like, okay, well, yeah. A lot of people read it. Let me check

1:46.9

it out. And so it's a decent read. I've been reading it forever because it's so long. I've read

1:51.9

books while I'm reading this one and finish the others. But those kind of fantasy books tend to be

1:56.7

super long. Okay. So George R.R. Martin, this lady said, hold my beard. Okay, so it's 512 pages.

2:03.2

Okay. So you're almost done. And we were having a discussion about it because you said to me,

2:07.6

this young lady, Violet, before she became a dragon rider, she was on her way to becoming a scribe.

2:14.0

Right. So she had been training her entire life to be a scribe. And, you know, they're very

2:19.2

important in this world as well, because her father was a scribe. So you either choose what either parent does,

2:26.4

whatever you may kind of have an affinity before. So her mother is a fighter, a rider, a dragon rider,
