Last month South Africa's police minister went to visit the country's main airport.

O'Artambo is the biggest airport in the African continent.

But he wasn't there to boast.

He was there because criminals had been running a muck in and around the airport. A driver had been shot dead and his

passengers robbed. Thieves had followed Traveller's home, assaulted them and

stolen their valuables. And as if to show how brazen the criminals had become, just hours

before the minister's visit, a van carrying high-value goods had been hijacked.

That tells you that they were calling our bluff that were coming to the airport and then they

robbed at the same time.

The police here were

We are proposing girlfriends and doing all of that.

Some of our police officers have failed us and have failed our citizens.
