I'm your host Matt Hachberg and this is episode number 366. This week we're taking a break from the cruise stories for just a week to talk about something that a lot of people have been talking about, which is our cruise lines being treated unfairly.

Yes, with the cruise shutdown in place and has been in place for months and many more months to go, more than likely.

The question of are the cruise lines being treated the same way that other travel industries have been treated is something that's been debated up and down.

And today, I wanted to talk about this exact topic as we

dive right into it. Here we go. Ever since cruising shutdown, including Royal Caribbean,

there's been a lot of discussion on the internet about, you know, the future of cruising

and the nature of cruising and also about the treatment of the cruise lines.

Because after all, you know, the part, I would say the majority of the reason why cruises have

shut down largely is based on government oversight. A lot of new rules and regulations have been

added in light of the global pandemic to stem the tide of international travel as well as discretionary travel in an effort

to, along with other things, to hope, you know, contain the virus, slow its progress down,

et cetera, et cetera.

I mean, today we wanted to talk about the topic that I think you may have read about

or seen about, talked about yourself being a cruise fan, which of course

is are the cruise lines being treated fairly?
