And Dr. Ellis's book, free at last, he said this, he says,

a survey of African-American history reveals that like the children of Israel,

we have had a 400-year collective trauma from which we have yet to fully recover.

And like the children of Israel, we have sojourn in a philosophical wilderness as our

thinking has developed. There's another quote that I want to read because I think that's

counselor by the name of Diane Lindbergh. She says this, we have participated in the rejection

and the contempt of others based on the race. The dignity, humanity, and value of one created

in the image of God had to be denied or minimized in order for slavery to survive for more than two
