Welcome back. It's time for a case brief, keeping you in the loop with the cases you care about most, just more briefly.

Day 28 of the Karen Reed retrial. It is Friday. It's June 6th. Hopefully you had a good day off.

We needed to talk about the fact that on Wednesday after court,

Karen Reid spoke to the media, which she has been doing. Yes, her lawyers have a gag order. No,

she does not. She spoke to the media and said that they should be done more or less with their case

by Tuesday next week. So this case might go to the

jury next week. They were told it was an eight-week trial except for deliberations, and it looks

like they might get this trial within that eight-week window, which is wild. At the very end of the

day, the judge came back onto the bench for like 30 seconds,

give or take a few seconds, and ruled on the motion or the renewed motion for reconsideration

to have the police procedure expert, Michael Easter, testified for the defense. The court denied it.

I thought that they were going to use Officer Barrows for that a little bit more, but they didn't.

Who knows what's coming next? Well, except for all of us at this point because today, chat,

gird your loins. Today is ARCA Day.

Myself and one of our lab technicians at ARCA, we designed and developed a pressurized air cannon.

So it was capable of firing a projectile such as a drinking glass at the taillight.

So it essentially sent it, you can think of it kind of as a giant cannon, but it had a barrel.

And then there was a valve that would open rapidly and directly behind the yeat cannon of drinking glass so they could

eat cannon a drinking glass at a car and see if it would shatter a tail light his job is mythbusters

his job is myth busters it's like let's rig up a cannon to fire whiskey glasses at a car.

That was a pressurized vessel.
