Hi guys, it's Rachel and this is a quick word on winter.

Alright, this is not one of this conversations where I talk about theoretical winter or an

energetic winter or an emotional winter.

In this instance, I'm actually talking about literal winter.

It's the middle of January.

It's cold here at Austin, Texas.

At least it's cold according to me.

I know that some of you live in places that have much lower temperatures.

But on this particular day, it is pouring down rain.

It is in the 40s.

Both of these things are not my favorite.

And I had to run errands today.

I had to do a bunch of stuff outside of the house.

And again, I know I'm being a weenie, but it was cold and it was rainy.

And I found myself going into a place that I've gotten so many times before when it comes

to the weather.

Let's take a quick time warp.

If you know what that means, you're old like I am.

But when I was a little girl, I lived in a place that had really dreary winters.

It was cold and it was in the valley and like a farming town.

And there wasn't much to look at.

It was gray and it would get sucked in or we would have really extreme fog.
