The New England Patriots are not expected to trade their backup quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo.

And what's interesting about this is a few different things.

It changes the quarterback landscape because it now

means players like Mike Lennon, A.J. McCarran for the Cincinnati Bengals, who's not free, but

the Bengals could get calls, are now in more demand because there's one fewer quarterback available.

And a lot of people may think, well, the Patriots, maybe they'll continue to listen to the office. No, I'm telling you right now, they love Jimmy Garoppolo. They're holding on to Jimmy Garoppel. They view him as somebody that they want around. They know the value of quarterbacks, and they're not in the market of getting rid of 25-year-old quarterbacks, even if they have a year left on their contract, Jimmy Gropolo is is not going to be traded. Meanwhile, Schefter's still at it.

That was from months ago, but still. You can hear him, the blood boiling there, too. Like, he's getting a little shaky. Well, at least there he gave you a reason. Yeah. The reason is they love him. Right? Like, that's sort of, that's what's been missing from a lot of Schaefter's commentary here. he's just been so defiant about the whole thing he hasn't really said why so at least there he

Well, and that ultimately, to me, is the right reason. That's the right reason to keep him. There's no, you know, and again, short of someone not giving you a good enough offer than fine.

But I'm saying from their standpoint, in terms of what they

believe, the number one reason to keep them is that you believe in the guy. You believe in

them. End of story. We're not trading them away. And so I, you know, to me, there was enough there in that brief little glimpse, as brief as it was to say, well, what do you got here? I'm sorry, that quarter and a half in Miami was not flukish. But again, Mass. Bill could give a rat's ass. No, look, he liked the quarter and a half. He liked the Arizona game.
