Hi friends. I'm Annie F. Downs. Let's read the Gospels. The Gospels are the first four books in the New Testament in the Bible, Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. These are the stories of Jesus Christ's life on earth. The friendships, the parables, the sacrifices, the meals, the miracles. So here is how this works. We're going to read three chapters a day every day

0:22.1

for 30 days and get through all four of those books. So today I'm going to read you three chapters.

0:26.6

You can listen or watch on YouTube, read along in your own Bible, and then I'll pray. And that's

0:31.9

it. Today is day 11, and I'll be reading Luke chapters 10 through 12 from the new living translation. And if you got

0:39.2

sure, let's read the gospel's guided journal. We are on page 79. Luke 10. The Lord now chose

0:49.4

72 other disciples and sent them ahead and pairs to all the towns and places he planned to visit.

0:55.4

These were his instructions to them. The harvest is great, but the workers are few. So pray to the

1:01.3

Lord who is in charge of the harvest. Ask him to send more workers into his fields. Now go and remember

1:07.2

that I am sending you out as lambs among wolves. Don't take any money with you,

1:12.1

nor a traveler's bag, nor an extra pair of sandals, and don't stop to greet anyone on the road.

1:17.8

Whenever you enter someone's home first say, may God's peace be on this house. If those who live there

1:23.7

are peaceful, the blessing will stand. If they are not, the blessing will return to you.

1:29.1

Don't move around from home to home. Stay in one place, eating and drinking what they provide.

1:33.9

Don't hesitate to accept hospitality because those who work deserve their pay. If you enter a

1:39.4

town and it welcomes you, eat whatever is set before you. He'll the sick and tell them the kingdom of God

1:44.7

is near you now. But if a town refuses to welcome you, go out into its streets and say, we wipe even the

1:51.7

dust of your town from our feet to show that we have abandoned you to your fate. And know this,

1:57.3

the kingdom of God is near. I assure you, even wicked Sodom will be better off

2:01.8

than such a town on a judgment day. What sorrow awaits you, Corz and Beth Seda? For if the

2:08.4

miracles I did and you had been done in wicked Tyre and Sidon, their people would have repented

2:13.6

of their sins long ago, clothing themselves in burlap and throwing ashes on their heads to show their remorse.

2:20.1

Yes, Tyrant Sidon will be better off on Judgment Day than you.
