A couple of points from listening to the first episode. The Sphere Grid, you talk about how you can get an

upgrade for a weapon that you can't make use of for a few hours and then complained about how it

takes too many points to get an upgrade on the other side of the tree.

Since you don't need that level three sword upgrade immediately, spend some of those points to get to

the crossbow.
