Summary

Starting next week, millions of American students are going to be taking their Advanced Placement exams from home. One of those is AP US Government and Politics. This exam is usually taken at school, but this year students are going to take a significantly modified test from home. We talked to three teachers to find out what is taught in the course, the nine foundational documents that students are expected to know, and myriad tips and tricks for taking the exam. 0:06.7	There are 15 million high school students in the US.
0:11.9	And every single one of them is facing the challenges of learning from home.
0:16.0	Every single school district is trying to figure out the best ways to teach them, to support
0:19.5	them, and to grade them.
0:21.0	The SATs are on hold.
0:22.8	ACTs are on hold as well.
0:25.3	But days from us recording this, 3.4 million students are going to be taking a test that

0:35.7	They are going to be taking one of the 38 AP Advanced Placement exams.
0:41.2	They're going to take them from home, online.
0:45.4	And what is usually a three hour exam that students have prepped a year or at least
0:49.6	a semester for is going to be 45 minutes.
0:53.6	And one of those courses is AP, US government, and politics.
0:58.3	And you and I have had the benefit of meeting many, many wonderful AP golf teachers at conferences
1:03.2	and events over the last few years.
1:05.5	And I've always had this insatiable, almost morbid curiosity about this super challenging
