And I want to share with you a breaking story that's just occurred as we record at 938 on Thursday morning.

I bet you don't know this either, Steve.

I've received an email that had this piece of news in it,

that Kansas City Chiefs fans are among the best at tailgating. Now, that's a newsflash. I didn't

know that. Did you know that? I think I did know that. I also, I get, I get those emails sometimes, but, um, since I'm not, like, since I'm not full time, like fully entrenched in that stuff anymore, I do not check my email as often as I used to do. I could have missed that. So thank you for the update, John. Well, yeah, I thought people would want to know about that.

There actually has been some significant Chiefs news here in the last week.

I'm kidding, of course, about the email that I got.

But you're right. We get those emails all the time and sometimes they're hysterical.

But we wanted to go over some of it here this morning while it was top of mind and share it with our podcast listeners.

So let's start with this from last Friday night as the Chiefs fell to the Chicago Bears that they had actually played as the final preseason opponent in two years straight.

And they lost both of those games.

This was a very odd game.

The Chiefs were ahead, 17 to nothing, by the second.

I guess it was the first play of the second quarter when they got to that point,

and then ended up losing the game 29 27 on a touchdown that the

Bears scored with like two seconds to go. It was just crazy. But it was a great game from the

first stringers on both offense and defense, obviously getting 17-0 after one quarter.

So it was a very positive sign, even though now the Chiefs haven't won a preseason

game since, I think, 2023 or something.

But we're still feeling really good about the team going into the regular season.
