1:04.0 | We're going to start off with the story from Ted in Orange County, California. This is the way it has always been. |
1:28.0 | I've had a fairly normal childhood growing up in Vietnam, emigrating to the US when I was 13. |
1:37.0 | Everything was typical until my senior year in high school. I just got in back from wrestling practice and was exhausted so I dozed off to sleep. |
1:46.0 | This was followed by sleep paralysis, which back then was not very well known. |
1:52.0 | After a few times of trying to awake myself, I finally woke up. I sat right up my forehead and sure dammed with sweat. |

2:15.0 | A few months went by without another incident. I was taking a shower as usual. Suddenly I felt someone watching me. |

2:34.0 | But it was a male figure in a light blue button shirt and tan slacks pulled up past the belly. He had on a green hardhat like one of those hats people wear in the jungle. |
2:47.0 | I slid the frosted door open and there was no one there. I didn't even finish showering. I dried off and got out of there. I chalked it up to my imagination. |
3:04.0 | That night my dad told me my grandpa had died, his dad, in Vietnam. |
3:10.0 | We turned on Yahoo Messenger. Yes, I'm that old. And we watched part of the funeral procession on a webcam. |
3:20.0 | A few weeks later we received a DVD from Vietnam. It was common to videotape the funeral and send it to loved ones, especially if they couldn't be there in person. |
3:31.0 | The DVD had a slideshow of my grandpa from when he was young to his last photo taken. I paused the DVD when I saw this. |
3:40.0 | My grandpa in his youth volunteer uniform wearing a light blue button shirt, tan slacks, and a green wide brimmed hardhat. |
