Today we'll be treating a question that is deceptively important, deceptively central to the 266th

pontificate of Pope Francis.

That issue is annulment.

Catholic divorce?

You'll be able to tell me at the end of today's show.

A typical Catholic refrain for what I take to be all two millennia of the Roman Catholic

church's tradition and history is that anonement, which has been a concept, we're going to discuss it in great detail today,

is not Catholic divorce. Since the Second Vatican Council, to repeat this, is to advertise and to give

maybe too much credence to a legal fiction that is no longer true.

That's what I'll suggest at the beginning.

That's all I'm going to say that perhaps it's now a baseless legal fiction to say what we've said for our bimennial Catholic tradition.

Anulment is not Catholic divorce.

It's a hard case to make after Vatican 2.

First off, I want to open just by giving you a ground, a context for this issue.

Why is it so deceptively central?

And by deceptively central, I mean ostensibly not central, but actually,

to the Francis Pontificate and what Francis and the Sankt Golan Mafia,

the destroyers and usurpers of the Roman Catholic Church over the last three decades,

have sought to do. Why is it so important to them?
