Let's suppose you're a prospective mother or father.

You have a dream in which a being of light appears to you and tells you you're going to have a child.

The being tells you whether it will be a boy or a girl,

tells you what hair color will have, and even tells you the child's name.

Or perhaps you have a vision of your future child,

and you learn all those things directly from the child.

Or maybe you hear a voice and learn these things.

Perhaps you see what's going to happen to the child at birth or in infancy or later in life.

All of these are examples of announcing dreams and related phenomena,

and they're surprisingly common.
