Hey, welcome to Fitstock Radio. It's Labor Day, everybody. So if you're pregnant and you're

water burst, this is the day for you. Yeah, that's always fun. But really, let's be serious. Labor

Day is about the workers. It's kind of got a communist connotation to it, doesn't it? Labor day,

didn't it start in Russia as part of the labor review? I would, oh, I know. I have no idea. Why,

why talk at my ass? I do know there is a strike going on with the writers guild right now and the

actors guild. And we are exercising the power of collective bargaining, which is

duaning in these days. Let this country is built on business. And it is controlled by business

and the fact that jobs have been the unions have been pushed out of jobs. Even within the writers

guild, it used to be everything was covered. I mean, the actors guild was is American federation

of TV and radio actors after radio is no longer covered. That whole sector of the union, which my

dad was covered under when he was a radio broadcaster for many years. And here's what's great about

unions is I saw my dad not work for a year or two at a time. And he still got benefits. He

still had health insurance. He eventually died young and my mother was able to live in great part

due to the pension that came out of the union because he died early. And that's something you don't

have in non union job and workplace safety workers right, whatever. I don't need to tell you

guess what a union does. But even within TV, like you've got all these shows that are written.

I mean, a game show is fucking written. Where do you think the questions come from? None of those are

covered. Re soap operas. You think those aren't written soap operas not covered animated shows.

The big ones are Bob's burgers, the Simpsons, a handful of the big ones, but the smaller ones are not

commercials used to be covered by the unions are not any longer. And I'm just saying if you think

there's corruptions in the union, I believe the teachers union has a lot of problems. But let's

fix those problems rather than throwing out the baby with the bath water because corporations
