Hi everybody, welcome to Ann Ortley's weekly weather. My name is Ann Ortley, and I'm sitting here at my bright red desk on a lovely Sunday with handsome riding shotgun. He's a little cranky, so hopefully he'll be well-behaved during the show instead of being part of it. Now, he did have dinner, so he should be in a better mood, but I have been out and about

and not around lately, so he hasn't had appropriate snuggle time.

And we all need a little extra snuggle time this week.

It's an interesting week coming up.

It's a pivot week.

So this weekend I went up to St. Anthony, the piece of St. Anthony is in Little Italy in the Bronx on Arthur Avenue, 187.

And they have this thing that we were calling the Gigolo, but which we found out is actually the Giglio, Giglio or something like that.

So they prayed St. Francis up and down the street, or St. Anthony, rather, up and down the street, and they pin money to him.

And then they have this big, tall thing, and 10 guys get on it, and they play the trumpet,

and one of the locals conducts, and then 100 maybe guys get underneath, lift the thing up,

and pivoted around.

And I was watching this pivoting, and I was thinking about the pivoting that we're all having in our lives.

So, I mean, we're talking a lot of guys, you know, a lot of kind of Italian guys with, you know,

looking like Italians with the sweatshirts, with their Giglio or Giglio, however you say it,

sign pivoting this big, tall thing with St. Francis and all these stores, St. Anthony,

I keep on to say St. Francis, but it's St. Anthony.

And 10 guys on the top of it playing, you know, getting lifted up, kind of like a hoopah,

you know, that little dance, not the hoopah, but the little dance they do with the chairs

in a Jewish wedding, which always makes me nervous, too.

Because you watch this, and these guys are all sweating, you know,

and they're pivoting this thing in little teeny tiny steps

...
