The Welcome to Nomad Podcast. I'm Anna Robinson, and this is, that's when you say your name, Joy.

0:43.6

Oh, Joy Brooks. Hi. Hi, Joy. Today's conversation is actually going to be Joy and I chatting about the topic of faith deconstruction and faith shifts.

0:57.6

Joy, do you want to explain a little bit about why we are discussing this topic?

1:02.3

I think Tim spoke to us about doing this because we have been running a group for people

1:08.5

who's faithly shifting around a group for people to get

1:12.2

together and perhaps find a bit of commonality and process some of what they're going through

1:18.1

together. And I guess it made sense that as we were doing that group that maybe it's something

1:23.9

we could talk about a bit more widely. And I think Tim mentioned that he didn't think there'd been an actual episode that focused completely in on the concept of deconstruction. Before we go further into that, just checking in, how you doing?

1:53.0

How are you?

1:54.4

Yeah, I'm all right.

1:55.5

I'm a bit January-ish, so it's cold and dark, and it probably means I just want to hibernate and sit under a blanket

2:03.5

and watch films and instead I have driven up to Nottingham to record a conversation. So,

2:09.2

well done me. But yeah, doing okay. How about you, Anna? Yeah, I'm okay. I've got a little bit of a

2:15.1

sore throat, not feeling 100% to be honest,

2:18.8

but I've just done myself a COVID test and I am in the clear there, so that's good.

2:23.4

But yeah, if I lose my train of thought, that'll be why I just feel a little. It's this time

2:28.1

of the day. It's, what time is it now? It's 4.30 or just gone. And I always have a bit of a lull at this point

2:34.8

of the day. Yeah. Hopefully chatting to you, I will liven up because I do love this topic of
