The educational field's loss was certainly the entertainment fields gain, for Andy is a very versatile actor,

as evidenced by his comedic performance in no time for sergeants, his highly dramatic role, and a face in the crowd,

and now his very warm portrayal of Sheriff Andy

that we see each week on the Andy Griffith Show.
