We know you've got retirement coming up here.

I'm sad because the all-time great NBA photographs are all done by you but I know

you're looking ahead here to retirement so what's going on?

Well Trevor it's been a great run I, I never pictured this as a 19 year old

photographer trying to break into this business when I moved from Brooklyn back

in 1978. And, you know fast forward 45 years 43 years with the NBA it's been a

fantastic career I like I said exceeded my own expectations. I've accomplished a lot more than I ever imagined or dreamed I would. But there comes a time when you know an athlete knows when it's time to retire, other people and other professions, and in this mind as well.

I've been suffering for a long time from back issues gaining back what into probably

2006 I think I had back surgery and you know it's a demanding job I sit on the floor on my butt and it has taken its toll

over close to 5,000 games.

And the traveling and the schlepping of equipment and

everything else so you know I'm not spring chicken anymore either and I

realize that I you know I have a chunk of my work life in front of me and I'm excited about that
