Summary

Well, the nominations for the 95th Annual Academy Awards are out! This year’s ceremony will see a lot of fresh faces - 16 out of the 20 acting nods went to first-time nominees. Among the newbies are movie veterans Jamie Lee Curtis and Michelle Yeoh. Michelle also made history as the first Asian woman ever nominated for the Best Actress award. But it wouldn’t be the Oscars without controversial snubs…and this year is no different. There are no women nominated for Best Director, despite being at the helm of some of the most celebrated films of the year. So it looks like when it comes to the Oscars, the more things change, the more they stay the same.
