privilege in the world to be with so many friends from all over the world who join me every

week to listen to my stories, inspiration, biblical encouragement. And I am just so glad

that you're here today. Thanks so much for joining me.

Hello my friends, how are you today? I am right, I am talking with you today on the eve of

my 40th anniversary, 40 years. I don't even think I'm that old. Anyway, I can't wait to talk

with you today about, I don't know whether to call it a sacred legacy of commitment and

love or finding the anchors in the storms of marriage. Because I do think that as we look

at marriage marriage is under attack today. Families are under attack, women are under

attack, children are under attack, oh my goodness, everybody is under attack. But it's

really wonderful getting to this place in my life. You know, you don't know when you

start out if you're going to make it this far. You just assume you're going to make it

this far because you've talked yourself into marrying this guy for whatever reason.

You are actually in love or you are just Twitter pated as Bambi talked about or you're

escaping something or you think, well he'll change or I'll change or whatever. But marriage

is the centerpiece at the beginning of creation where God created man and woman. He blessed

them. He blessed their union. They were the first community that God created and they

were to be the foundation of all civilization. And he blessed them and he said, be fruitful

and multiply, fill the earth and subdue it. The family was the unit through which light

and goodness and righteousness and purpose and meaning and stability and love and children

were supposed to be the centerpiece of life. So of course that is going to be the place

that Satan is really going to attack and make hard. And you know, I sometimes will see
