In last week's episode, I started this conversation around being analog curious, which to me means

Like many of you listening, I feel like I spend more time than I showed on my phone.

But what I've been hoping to understand better is the way that not only the time spent on

the screen impacts my life, but the time spent thinking about being on the screens impacts my life.

Am I distracted from the real world around me when I'm scrolling on my smartphone,

replying to emails, reading news articles? Yes. But am I also distracted from the world around me

when I'm thinking about doing those things? You know, when I'm sitting with my kids at the dinner

table thinking, hmm, I wonder if I got a new email? I wonder if there's a new news headline?

I really need to research the best type of luggage. So for me being analog curious means I'm

reflecting not only on the impact of the time spent with the smartphone in my hands, but also on the

impact of the distractions that are created by having the smartphone on my brain. How does it impact

my presence? How does it impact my engagement? How does it impact my anxiety and restlessness?
