Are you ready? We have had two studies just to kind of get our minds around where we are headed.

We're walking into the Psalms now, but today we're taking the plunge into Psalm number one.

Remember that at every twist and turn in life, at every delay and detour along the path,

the Psalms are going to guide us. They are God's roadmap for life.

So we come to Psalm 1. Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly,

nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the

law of the Lord, and in his law doth he meditate day and night,

and he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water,

that bringeth forth his fruit and his season.

His leaf also shall not wither, and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.

The ungodly are not so, but are like the chaff which the wind driveeth away.

Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.

For the Lord knoweth the way of the righteous, but the way of the ungodly shall perish.

It's only six verses long, but what a powerful psalm this is. You know, there are so many

Psalms that are well known. I'm thinking of Psalm 23. The Lord is my shepherd. The longest Psalm is Psalm 119.

There are lots of favorite Psalms, but Psalm 1 is such a beautiful entry point if you will into the
