Welcome to the podcast. I'm Tony Bruske. I want to start by painting a picture of the narrative.

The jurors in the Delphi trial of Richard Allen were expected to accept, and ultimately did accept because 75% of the story in this case was never given to them.

Imagine this.

A man wakes up, visits his mom, then, for reasons entirely unknown, decides it's the perfect day to abduct and murder two teenage girls.

He's a 45-year-old CVS clerk, a man with no criminal record, no history of

violence, no disturbing internet searches, nothing. He served his country honorably as a national

guardsman. Yet, on February 13, 2017, he allegedly arms himself with a gun and a box cutter,

wanders onto a public trail,

and just happens to stumble upon Liberty German, and Abigail Williams.

Despite his small stature of 5'4, he supposedly manages to corral and control both girls,

leading them to another man's property where he undresses them and slits their throats.

And somehow after committing this horrific crime, he leaves behind no DNA, no fingerprints,

and no physical evidence directly tying him to the scene, just a single unspent bullet,

which the prosecution claims was cycled through his gun. This is the story the jurors were given, and yet even this fragmented narrative doesn't include

everything they should have known.

Let's talk about what was kept from them in the form of an open letter directly to any of the

jurors who were on this case.

Dear jurors, first, I want to commend you for your service.

You stepped into a courtroom carrying the weight of an entire community's grief.

You poured weeks of your lives into examining evidence, listening to gut-wrenching testimony,

and deliberating over the fate of a man accused
