this week we're going to focus on amplifying the voices of black podcasters who are talking

about fertility, pregnancy, birth, and parenting.

So same topic, but amplifying different voices.

We encourage you to take the time that you would have used to listen to this week's

birthful episode to expand your listening options.

And to get you started, let me suggest the All About Pregnancy and Birth Podcast, which is hosted by OB Dr. Nicole

Rankins, and she breaks down pregnancy and childbirth topics in a very easy and very easy to understand manner.

And I've collaborated with Dr. Rankins before and really appreciate the work she does.

There's also the Birth Stories in Color podcast where Laurel Goria and Danielle Jackson

encourage people of color to share and learn from their birthing stories in a safe

and supportive environment.

So if you're really into the birth stories, you could check out the birth stories and color

podcast.

You could also listen to Natal, which is a podcast docu series about having a baby while black in the United States.

And throughout the season, they do seasonal stuff. Black parents tell their stories about

pregnancy, birthing, and postpartum care in their own words. So it's a docu series, but it's about stories.

They also highlight the birth workers, medical professionals,

researchers, and advocates fighting daily for better care for black birthing parents.

And if you want some black home birth stories in the context of the national crisis in maternal and infant health, then you can listen to the Homecoming podcast.

There are also several podcasts that explore the realities, joys, and struggles of being a black parent.
