Now this week we're talking about British and European sports cars and beyond actually

with American power trains. This is mostly because Andrew recently drove and has written about for the

intercooler an AC COBRA, a proper one, a real one. That story is on the intercooler now if you want to read it.

This, it doesn't happen so much these days or at all actually,

but it used to be commonplace.

It used to happen all the time and the COBRA was probably the best example of it.

But we get stuck into all of them. There are European cars, British sports cars, even Australian cars.

There are road cars and racing cars, so it's a good meaty topic.

There is a very great tradition of European sports cars having

whacking great American motors stuffed into them, almost always Detroit v8. And we're doing this now because just this week we

published a story by you Andrew about I think it is probably the still the best example of this,

particularly a British car with a thumping great American V8

and it has to be the AC COBRA.

It does, It does.

And I was lucky enough to go and drive what I think is the, if not the ultimate COBRA, because that makes

it sound like the fastest, and I think the best best COBRA which was a late car so it had

the rack and pinion steering and it had the coil springs and if you wanted that you had to
