This is Viz, and with us today is Dr. James H. Betzer. He's on the faculty of the University of Minnesota at Duluth.

He's had a number of titles to his credit. You've heard him on the show before. With regard to the JFK assassination,

he's been involved with the assassination science, murder in Dealey Plaza, the great Zerprudor film hoax.

But he's here today to talk about the Paul Wellstone crash.

The book he has just come out with, a co-author, is American Assassination, the Strange Case,

the Strange Death of Paul Wellstone. I want to thank you for being with us, Doc.

Okay, sorry, if you're stumbling on that subtitle. You were also in collaboration with Don Jacobs.

Is that correct? That's right. He's a Native American scholar from Northern Arizona University. He was

published more than a dozen books of his own, and who offered to collaborate with me on a book on Paul Wellstone when he discovered I'd been doing research on the case.

Was that the first time you'd ever collaborated with him?

Yes, yes.

All right.

We actually only met last October when on the 25th we made a press conference at the

conducted a press conference of the National Press Club in Washington, D.C. to present our findings to announce the book and to call for an investigation at the local state or federal level.

How did that go, by the way?

Well, the press conference was fine. There wasn't uh a very large uh turnout and

there wasn't a great deal of uh coverage uh we we uh set our piece but you know this is not the sort

of thing that's very popular with a press or the powers it be um what exactly do you believe

happened that day i mean this was not an accident you feel
