Hi, everybody. Welcome to the Untold Story podcast. I'm Martha McCallum, and today I'm really glad to have joining us, Allie Hopper.

She is the head of guard against trafficking. She has testified before Congress.

And she has really such a long, deep resume in the issue of child trafficking, human trafficking,

that I really want her to fill us in herself.

And I want to begin by having you explain your history with this subject and how you became an expert in an area that I think is so undiscussed largely in this country.

You've testified before Congress.

You know, you're really considered one of the foremost experts on the issue of trafficking and child labor in America.

So how did you become interested in this?

How did you get to this place?

That's really an interesting question. I've always been passionate about advocacy, advocating for the things that matter to me the most, child protection,

veterans, my husband's vet. But when I was in college, I remember doing a presentation where
