Coast-to-coast protests against immigration raids have grown in the U.S., as have the raids themselves

all around the country, many at work sites and courthouses. The Trump administration says it's just

fulfilling a promise the president made to the

American people to deport people in the U.S. illegally, but local officials are increasingly pushing

back, saying immigrants now being arrested are not a threat, but are just trying to work and

raise their families. Some have suggested the White House is only trying to cause fear and panic.

With that, protesters marched yesterday in places like San Antonio, Texas,

St. Louis, Missouri, Raleigh, North Carolina, Atlanta, Georgia, New York City, and beyond.

Most of the demonstrations have been peaceful. Others have led to clashes with law enforcement.

No matter what, the Trump administration says immigration raids and deportations will continue,

but that the violence should stop. And it's prepared to send

troops into more American cities. In Los Angeles, President Trump says troops will stay, quote,
