We go immediately to four bookstores and for Amazon. In John's most recent posting I was

immediately taken by the argument so I welcome Mr Tammany. John Amazon everybody knows it takes all the business from the small bookstores of American

and wiped out the honest broker in small towns. Isn't that right time? Good evening to you.

That's the conventional wisdom and it's overly simplified. What happens when a book

sells on mass? What happens when a movie is heavily attended it causes people

to want to see more movies it causes people to want to buy more books and so

Amazon massively expanded the market for books and in doing so made it possible for books, the local

bookstore to showcase itself even more. In selling lots of books online, it generated more

interest for people to go into the local bookstore and see physically what

they see online. It works that way in Hollywood.

Explain, John, I agree with you that the most recent Tom Cruise movie about jet airplanes

was I couldn't get past the 10 minutes. I just stopped it was too

formulaic, but how does that help? Yeah, it was a terrible movie, but you think

about what it did that Tom Cruz should have shown up the Academy Awards

that year and just said you're welcome and walked away because what he did in

releasing top gun maverick was remind people, A, how much they liked movies,
