real estate with the industry's biggest movers and shakers. I'm your host, Ken McElroy, joined by my co-host,

0:14.6

Daniel. Let's get right into this episode. Welcome to the Ken McRoy show. I'm your host,

0:20.1

DeNeil, here with Ken. What's up?

0:21.9

So today we're going to be talking about Amazon and getting into the single family home market.

0:27.0

And this could be a Black Swan event that, you know, people are unprepared for. Yeah, I know. This is a big

0:33.0

one, actually. This is very interesting because Wall Street's been involved in this for a while,

0:38.1

but now, of course, this is just one more, you know, I mean, this is a, I don't know exactly

0:44.7

what's going to happen next, but these big companies. Exactly. You know, so essentially,

0:50.3

Jeff Bezos has invested in a real estate platform called Arrived Homes, and he's thrown a lot of money into this, into this platform.

0:59.9

So this is just one more way for the transfer of wealth. That's exactly what this is. This is Wall Street, buying up Main Street. You know, this is, this,

1:14.1

you know, this has already begun, as we know, from 2008 kind of woke, woke up the sleeping giant,

1:20.2

I think, you know, when all the banks started taking back all that real estate. And then what was

1:26.1

happening is the big boys were putting together funds.

1:28.7

I'm talking about Wall Street. And they were buying up all the distressed real estate, you know,

1:33.6

during that period of time, during that last period of time. And I think we were buying the stuff

1:38.3

at 50 cents, 40 cents on the dollar. And they did very well financially on the on the on the real estate market so this is a

1:46.1

transfer of wealth that's exactly how this should be looked at well it's interesting too so if

1:51.0

arrived homes basically they let essentially anybody invest with them with a minimum investment of

1:57.2

$100 so it's like crowdfunding but but in way, it could be good because it allows the average person to invest in real

2:06.5

estate, maybe if they don't have the money to actually buy a property.

2:10.5

I disagree.
